For Creators with an international audience.
Add translations
Offer your Space's title and description in multiple languages so visitors see content in their own language.
Overview
You can provide your Space's title and description in more than one language. Each Space has a default language (the one you wrote the original title and description in), and you can add translations in 27 other languages — from Korean, Japanese, and Chinese to French, Spanish, German, Arabic, and more — alongside your default.
When to use
- Your exhibition has visitors who speak different languages.
- You want your title and description to read naturally for an international audience.
Before you begin
- Make sure your Space has a default language set. You chose this when creating the Space; you can also set it here if it's missing.
- Have your translated text ready, or translate as you go.
Add a translation
- 1Open Edit details for your Space and go to the Language tab.
- 2If no default language is set, choose one first — it should match the language of your current title and description.
- 3Select Add Language and pick a language to translate into.
- 4Fill in the Title and Description for that language. Your original text is shown for reference as you type.
- 5Repeat for any other languages you want to support, then Save.
Manage translations
- Edit a translation any time by changing its Title or Description.
- Remove a language to delete its translation; the change takes effect when you Save.
- If you remove one by mistake before saving, you can restore it.
How the viewer chooses a language
Visitors automatically see the translation that matches their browser language. If you haven't provided a translation for their language — or you left a field blank in it — they see your default language content for that field instead, so your original text is always the fallback. (This is why a default language must be set for fallback to work.)
Translations cover the Space's title and description. The artworks and objects inside the 3D scene are not translated automatically; if you use 3D text for labels, edit that text directly in the Studio.
