Users and profiles

ArtSpace accounts use Google sign-in only — there is no separate email-and-password login. The first time you sign in, you complete a quick one-time onboarding where you choose your details before you can create content.

Your @username and display name

During onboarding you choose a unique @username and a display name. The @username is your unique handle and the basis of your public profile address. The display name is the friendly name shown next to your contributions and can be changed later.

Public profile vs private Dashboard

Every account has two different surfaces, and it helps to keep them distinct:

• Public profile — your page at /[username], visible to anyone. It presents you and your published work to the world.
• Dashboard — your private workspace, visible only to you. It shows analytics about your Spaces (such as views, likes, and comments over time) and lets you manage all your Spaces, including drafts.

Your Saved list

When you Like a Space, it is collected into your Saved list — a personal bookmark of exhibitions you want to return to. It lives alongside your Dashboard and is private to you.

The verification badge

A verification badge is a blue check that appears next to your name once your account is approved as verified. It signals an authentic, established presence on ArtSpace. Everyone gets the same blue check — when you request it you pick the category that fits you (artist, gallery, curator, or institution), but that choice is only for the review team. Personal accounts request it from their settings; organizations request a badge from the organization's settings.

Verification is something you request and that ArtSpace reviews; it is not automatic. The badge is a trust signal, not a feature unlock.
