Spaces and the Studio
- Space — a 3D exhibition you build and share; the central unit of content on ArtSpace.
- Studio — the 3D editor where you assemble and arrange everything in a Space.
- Zone — the room structure of an exhibition (walls, floor, layout); required before you can publish.
- Dashboard — your private workspace showing analytics and management for all your Spaces, including drafts.
- Draft — a Space that is still in progress and not yet published; the starting state of every Space.
- Published — a Space you have made live; requires a thumbnail and a Zone.
- Category — the classification a Space is filed under in Explore and search; chosen from a set the ArtSpace team maintains.
- Translations — a Space's title and description offered in additional languages, with your default language as the fallback.
Content and assets
- Artwork — a video piece shown inside a Space; processed after upload before it becomes viewable.
- Model — a 3D object (such as a sculpture or prop) placed in the scene; added in the Studio.
- Gaussian splat — a photoreal, point-based way to display real-world objects or scenes in 3D.
- Texture — an image applied to a surface to control how it looks; added in the Studio.
- Material — the definition of how a surface appears (color, finish, and the textures applied to it).
- 3D text — text rendered as a real object in the scene, used for titles and labels.
- Projector — a scene element that projects a video onto surfaces, like a beam of light carrying footage.
Lighting, scene, and effects
- Light — an element that illuminates the room and highlights specific pieces.
- HDRI / Environment — the surrounding backdrop and ambient lighting that fills the scene with realistic light and reflections.
- Post-processing — optional whole-scene visual effects, including AO, Bloom, SSR, and color grading.
- Viewpoint — a saved camera position used to frame key works and guide how a Space is presented.
- Track — a synchronized playback group: screens and projectors on the same Track play, pause, and seek together, and the Track is linked to a viewpoint.
- Group — a bundle of related objects managed and moved together.
Sharing and visibility
- Visibility — the setting that controls who can see a Space: Private, Unlisted, or Public.
- Share link — a special address that grants viewing access to an Unlisted Space; can be regenerated to invalidate old links.
- Transcoding (HLS) — the automatic processing that converts an uploaded artwork video into a format ready for smooth streaming; a video shows a 'processing' state until it's done.
People and organizations
- Organization — a shared identity for a gallery or team that can own Spaces and has its own dashboard and verification.
- Role — a member's level within an organization: Owner, Admin, or Member.
- Verification badge — the single blue check shown next to an approved account or organization's name. When requesting, you pick a category (artist, gallery, curator, or institution); the check looks the same for everyone.
- Invitation — an email invite to join an organization; the recipient accepts or declines it from their own account.
- Saved — your personal list of Spaces you've liked, available as a tab on your profile.
- Notification tiers — the grouping of notifications by importance, letting you choose which kinds you receive.
